Frequently Asked Questions
What is Dynamic Home Therapy ?
Dynamic Home Therapy is physical, occupational, or speech therapy provided either at home or in our NeuroFit Clinic. DNF is a locally-owned, therapist-owned, private business, and therefore you can expect exceptional customer service. Unlike most other rehab clinics, DNF is unique in that we provide speciality neuro-based treatments both at home and in the clinical setting.
What happened to Dynamic Home Therapy?
We expanded! Our team discovered that many patients wanted to have the option of therapy in an outpatient clinic and have access to fitness and wellness classes to maintain their progress after discharge. Thus, Dynamic NeuroFit now encompasses Dynamic Home Therapy, Dynamic NeuroFit Outpatient Rehab, and Dynamic NeuroFit fitness and wellness programs.
Do I need to get a doctor’s order (Rx) before I come see you?
Yes. We need a prescription for PT, OT, or ST to start your therapy.
Do I need to be "homebound" to receive your therapy at home?
No. Some people think that to qualify for therapy at home you must be home-bound (meaning it is very taxing or difficult to leave the home). This is true for home-health agencies that bill Medicare A. However, DNF bills Medicare B and Medicare B does not require homebound status. This means that working or leaving the home will not disqualify you from our services. Think of DNF as a rehab clinic that makes house-calls; it is a service based on convenience and not need.
Where does DNF go?
DNF comes to your home to perform your therapy, turning any home into a personal clinic. We also make visits to your workplace if this more convenient to you. If you have access to a gym, we can seek permission from the gym manager to perform visits there.
Will DNF come to my house?
If you live in the Philadelphia suburban area - most of Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester county. Please keep in mind our therapists reserve the right to deny service if the home is deemed unsafe for the therapist.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Department of Labor, and Medicare B . We are also able to bill claims for auto-accidents or personal injury. We believe firmly in listening to our patients and are wiling to get into network with other insurances if we begin to see that need. Up until now, we have had success with our out-of-network patients getting reimbursement from their insurance companies as we offer very specialized services. We will provide that documentation for you.
Will I have a co-pay?
This depends on your insurance, and we can check that for you. If you have Medicare B you will have a co-pay of $20 that is, except in rare cases, covered by your secondary insurance if you have it.
Are the fitness / wellness programs covered by insurance?
Yes and no. Some of our programs, like The LOUD Crowd can be billed to insurance as group therapy. Other programs, like Rock Steady Boxing, cannot. Call our office to find out if you qualify for our group therapy programs.
What services does DNF offer?
DNF provides rehabilitation and wellness programs mostly to people with neurological diagnosis. However, we are also capable of providing physical and occupational therapy for orthopedic conditions such as chronic pain, pre or post-surgery therapy, for example aftercare for a joint replacements. For our neurological and geriatric patients we provide balance and fall prevention, pain and condition management, strength and endurance training, speech therapy.
Why should I come to the clinic?
Coming to the NeuroFit Clinic is a personal preference. Just like our home visits, you will receive one-on-one attention in our clinic. An added benefit is the ability to get out of the house, have access to certain equipment you may not have at home, and socialize.
Why are home visits a good idea?
Treatment sessions are not missed due to scheduling issues, so there is improved compliance with the exercise program.
Improved compliance with therapy has shown patients get better results.
At home your therapist and you will tackle "real" environment problems of the home, not simulated situations in a clinic.
We can identify risks to strain or injury in your home office or work.
Home visits eliminate the risk of traveling, especially after surgery when you are on prescribed pain medications.
You may be fearful or anxious about leaving your home for reasons you wish not to explain.
You don't have to coordinate with caregivers to take you to an outpatient clinic.
You may not have access to reliable or affordable transportation.
Coordinating the care of your children or dependent while you attend therapy can be time-consuming and expensive.
Your home is familiar to you, and being treated there is easier for those who get confused in new situations.
I’m not a graduate of your therapy program, can I still come to the NeuroFit classes?
Absolutely! Our fitness and wellness program is open to all adults regardless of medical history. For some, these classes may be too challenging in which case we may refer you to our rehabilitation department before having you continue in the wellness program.
